RBSP/ECT - Radiation Belts Storm Probe / Energetic Particle Composition and Thermal Plasma Suite

What's New On the RBSP-ECT Science & Data Portal?

2022-01-09 LANL RBSP-ECT data server no longer in use

For many years the RBSP-ECT team maintained parallel data servers: one at LANL and one at the New Mexico Consortium. As the formal Van Allen Probes mission came to an end it was no longer feasible to maintain both sites. All references to data access at https://rbsp-ect.lanl.gov/ can continue to be assessed by substituting "newmexicoconsortium.org" for "lanl.gov"

2021-04-01 New Combined ECT Level 3 Pitch Angle Resolved Data

The Combined ECT electron flux data products apply the most up-do-date algorightms, background corrections, and intercalibrations to the HOPE-MagEIS-REPT data and combine them into a single data product that spans eV to MeV energies. Additionally, there are spline fits to the spectra that allow the user to evaluate fluxes at arbitrary energies or energy-ranges.

Level 2 data are spin-averaged data products which are available at these links: RBSP-A and RBSP-B

Newly-processed Level 3 data are pitch-angle resolved data products which are available at these links: RBSP-A and RBSP-B

Full, detailed descriptions of the products and processing algorithms can be found in:
